OUTPERFORM THE STANDARD
More Carbon – Honest Water Filters contain almost 4.25 cubic feet of carbon in a block form. That’s almost three times the amount of carbon than a typical carbon tank which only contains 1 – 1.5 cubic feet of loose granulated carbon.
Longer Lasting Filtration – Honest Water Filters are NSF System-Certified for 99.95% chemical reduction for up to 530,000* gallons in our 2-cartridge system. The chart to the right shows stand up tank carbon drops down to 69 reduction after just 10,000 gallons.
*If used with the Defender Pre-Filter or Diamond Ultra-Filter under normal municipal water conditions.
Microns Matter – Honest Water Filters range from 5.0 microns to 0.015 sub-micron. Most stand-up tank systems have a similar filtering capability to beach sand; between 150 and 1500 microns.
NSF Certified – Honest Water Filters are NSF system-certified for performance to Standards 42-53 depending on the system. Other systems typically have a Standard 61 for safety, which does not establish performance, taste and odor, or microbial growth support requirements for drinking water system products, components or materials.
